On November 5, 2024, voters will vote to elect the 47th President of the United States. To describe this election as unprecedented is perhaps selling it short. No other election in the past century has had the stakes so high for the auto industry — and to a greater extent, for climate science and democracy itself. As two major party candidates prepare to debate, it’s time to examine their past, present, and future—and how qualified they are to be our next leader.

How can I watch the presidential debate on June 27, 2024?

On June 27, 2024, major party candidates will debate in Atlanta. The The debate will be hosted by CNN. and will be broadcast live on that network and streamed on its website. The 90-minute debate will also be carried by other major news networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and News, and will be streamed on YouTube and dozens of other services.

To qualify for the debate, candidates must receive at least 15% support from those polled in four national polls of registered or likely voters. — a list that has been thoroughly vetted by news networks. As a candidate, he criticized the Biden administration’s spending on clean energy and has called climate change “hysteria”.
