Fuel prices for the first week of March 2022 – RON 97 increased by 16 sen

It’s time for a weekly fuel price update once again, with the Ministry of Finance having announced the retail fuel prices for the next week from March 3 to 9. If you’re a user of RON 97 gasoline, good than you should prepare for some unpleasant news.

That’s because fuel will rebound this week, and significantly at that point, no doubt amplified by the ongoing conflict in a given European country. With an increase of 16 sen, the price of RON 97 petrol next week will be RM3.45/litre, up from RM3.29/litre at last week.

Gasoline price RON 95 unchanged, keep the same price ceiling price is RM 2.05 per liter, as per government regulation last February. Likewise, diesel prices continue to be the same, with the B10 and B20 Euro 5 blend priced at RM2.15 per liter and 5 Euro B7 – witnessing a Price increase by 10 sen at the beginning of the year and now costs more than 20 sen per liter – at RM2.35 per liter.

These rates will be in effect from midnight tonight through Wednesday, March 9, when the next set of fuel price updates will be published. This is the 10th edition of weekly fuel price format for 2022 and the 164th since the system was introduced in 2019.
