Cadillac confirms Escalade IQ electric SUV to be launched by the end of 2023
Cadillac on Monday announced plans to create an all-electric version of its biggest SUV, the Escalade, plus a little hint of a timeline: An electric version, called the Escalade IQ , will be released later this year.
According to Cadillac, the Escalade IQ “promises the commitment to craftsmanship, technology and performance that have helped the Escalade brand dominate the large luxury SUV segment for the past 20 years.”
Escalade IQ, located next door Cadillac lyriq cross and upcoming Cadillac Celestiq all-electric, continuing the brand’s EV nomenclature, with a twist. “The IQ naming strategy celebrates Cadillac’s introduction of another type of electric vehicle to the market—one that works in tandem with people’s everyday lives and environments,” explains Cadillac.

EPA fuel economy ratings for the 2023 Escalade range from 23 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and turbocharged diesel to just 13 mpg combined with the performance-oriented Escalade V. In range, the GMC Hummer EV SUV will use EPA-cycle 314 miles on a 170-kwh battery pack, according to the company.
