Amanda Leak is the proud mom of 40 amazing dogs. Many of them have touching rescue stories, but none of their pasts is more emotional than Miracle. The beautiful white dog truly deserves its name because of its incredible transformation since being adopted.
To show his progress, Miracle joined Leak on the show Britain’s Got Talent. Together they performed a beautiful magic trick, and Leask shared Miracle’s story to show others how important dog adoption is.
Efficiency
Leak wished that she could bring all 40 of her dogs to the show, but that was not possible. So she brought Miracle along with 4 other people who waited patiently backstage. During her performance, Leask gave the judges a stack of 40 cards, each with a picture of one of her dogs on it.
Each judge chooses a card and looks at it. Then, after sharing Miracle’s story and explaining why she has so many dogs, Leask asked the judges to reveal their cards. Sure enough, those four tags match the four dogs that Leakk carried.
Miracle opened a door leading backstage to let his 4 siblings run out of the stage. The judges were astounded when they saw dogs that looked like the ones pictured on their cards. Of course, they also had to cry because of the cuteness, especially when they saw the two-legged puppy named Braveheart.
As great as the trick was, the judges and audience were all the more amazed by the story behind it. Before revealing her dogs, Leask showed a video explaining why she chose Miracle to help her with the trick.
The Story of Miracles
Miracle looks like a very happy and healthy dog, but that’s not always the case. Leakk was learning about the beautiful puppy when she came across a horrifying photo. She saw poor Miracle stuffed in a cage with more than 100 other dogs, being sold in the illegal dog meat trade in Thailand.
During the show, Leask showed before and after photos of Miracle, and the transformation was amazing. In the first photo, Miracle is trying to escape the cage, but he gets stuck in the process. His rescuers feared he was dead at first, until he opened his eyes. It was a miracle that he survived the terrible situation.
With so many dogs rescued from the meat trade, it was hard for Leask to find Miracle. But she feels a strong connection to him, so she knows she has to save him. In the end, volunteers were able to rescue him and take him to Leask in the United Kingdom. This is Miracle’s first time in the house.
Since Miracle was new to the family, Leask took care to make sure he was comfortable. She didn’t know how he would react to her son and the other dogs, so she gave him some space at first. However, she soon learns that he is the sweetest, gentlest dog she has ever met.
Her 11-year-old son, who has cerebral palsy and autism, is sometimes insecure around dogs. However, he bonded with Miracle almost immediately. Miracle knows exactly how to comfort him and cheer him up, and he makes Miracle happy in return. Witnessing this bond made Leask even more grateful that she was able to save Miracle.
Will they win the show?
After their impressive and astonishing performance, all four judges agreed without hesitation. They all shed tears after Miracle’s story. Not only is the couple’s talent amazing, but the judges agree it’s a great way to raise awareness about rescue dogs.
Leask said: “If Miracle and I win Britain’s Got Talent, it would be absolutely phenomenal to think that a rescue dog would perform in front of the royal family.
