Breeders’ Cup announces 2022 race order, salary menu

Breeders’ Cup has announced the race order and betting menu on October 26 for the 2022 Breeders’ Cup World Championship on November 4-5 at Keeneland in Lexington.

There will be 10 races (five Breeders ‘Cup races) on day one of the Championship, “Friday of Future Stars” and 12 races on Saturday’s program (nine Breeders Cup races). Friday’s program begins at 11:55 a.m. Eastern time with five base races. The Breeders’ Cup for Underage (G1T) (Race 10) will be the last race of the day, posting time is 5:40pm

The Championship’s first post on Saturday was 10:30 a.m. and started with two underdog races. The World Championship will conclude with the $6 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) (Race 11). There will be an undercard race after the Classic with a posting time of 6:20pm

Order of the championship race
The first championship race on “Future Stars Friday” will be the $1 million Breeders ‘Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1T), followed by the $2 million NetJets Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) (3:40 p.m. ), $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1T) (4:20 p.m.), $2 million FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Juvenile presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (G1) (5:00 p.m.) and 1 million dollars Juvenile Turf (5:40 pm).

Saturday’s championship begins with two underdog races, followed by the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) (11:50 a.m.), Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) (12: 29pm), $1 million Big Ass Fans Breeders ‘Cup Dirt Mile (G1) (1:10 p.m.), Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup $2 million Filly & Mare Turf (G1T) (1:50 p.m.), Qatar Racing Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) $2 million (2:30 p.m.), FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Mile $2 million presented by PDJF (G1T) (3:10 p.m.), Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) G1) $2 million (3:55 p.m.), $4 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1T) (4:40 p.m.) and $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (5:40 p.m.).

Salary menu
This year, 26 countries, including Canada, France, Ireland, Germany and the United Kingdom, will offer pari-mutuel, shared betting through Breeders’ Cup Global Pool on the World Championships. Seven other jurisdictions will offer separate pool bets, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Hong Kong, India and Mexico.

The 2022 bet menu includes a Breeders’ Cup All-Turf $3 Pick 3 on Friday. The three races, in order, are the Breeders Juniors ‘Cup’ Sprint (Race 6), the Breeders Juniors (Race 8) and the Juniors Grass. juvenile Breeders’ (Race 10).

Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup All-Turf Pick 4 is a 50 cent minimum bet and will pack four of the best turf races in the world. The four races, in order, are: Breeders ‘Cup Turf Sprint, Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf, Breeders ‘Cup Mile, and Breeders’ Cup Turf.

Breeders’ Cup will also offer a third, middle Pick 5 on Saturday, starting with Race 3. Early Pick 5 will start with Race 1 and late Pick 5 with Race 7. Late Pick 5 last Saturday generated $4.7 million while the Late Pick 4 generated a $4.4 million run.

The order for the Breeders’ Cup Friday and Saturday undercard races will be announced on October 31.

Friday’s Pick 6, Early and Late Pick 5, and Super High 5 could carry over to Saturday. Friday’s Pick 3 includes races 6, 8 and 10. Any transfer of Pick 5 on Friday will move into Pick 5 late on Saturday.

Saturday’s all-round pick 4 includes 4, 6, 8 and 10 races. Saturday’s Super 6, 5 and Super 5 are all required payouts.

Three daily specials will be provided: Grass Court / Juvenile Lawn, Juvenile / Classic Lawn and Juvenile Lawn / Lawn.
