Brazil delays visa requirements for Americans again
After several days of suggested initiation, Brazil once again delaying visa requirements for select travelers, including Americans.
The Brazilian government will not require visas to visit US, Canadian and Australian tourists until April 10, 2025. said last week. Previous government remove visa requirements in 2019 after setting continued start dates for January and April 2024.

Visa applications submitted through VFS Global take an average of five business days to process and cost $80.90 per person. Each visa allows the holder to enter the country multiple times within a specific period of time – 5 years for Canadians and Australians and 10 years for Americans.
VFS Global said: “The validity period of your eVisa is different from the period of your stay. You can enter Brazil at any time during the validity period of the issued eVisa.” “If you want to enter Brazil before the date specified on your eVisa, you must create a new application. If you need to stay in the country for more than 90 days, you must apply for a regular visa at the Consulate nearest Brazilian restaurant.”
