The 39-year-old shared to his Twitter followers earlier today that his grandfather passed away the day after Christmas, leaving the rapper and the rest of his family to mourn. sorry for their loss.

After taking the news to Twitter, hundreds of fans flocked in with words of support for the Baton Rouge-born recording artist. “Put your chest out, keep your head up and deal with it. Every night there will be a brighter day after,” one user wrote in the reply.
