Young murder suspect Dolph is a registered sex offender
Justin Johnson, one of the men charged with the murder of Young Dolph, is a registered sex offender.
According to WLBT, in 2015, Johnson was found guilty of aggravated rape. He is required to report every March, June, September and December to the Memphis police department. He failed to report to the MPD in December 2021 and violated the Sex Offender Verification and Tracking Act of 2004.
Johnson has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder (for shooting Young Dolph’s brother, who was with the rapper when he was killed), possession of a firearm, using a gun in a dangerous felony and the theft of more than $10,000.

He was also charged with a Tennessee sex offender who failed to report or register in a timely manner.
During Johnson’s arrest, police also found 27-year-old Shundale Barnett, who was wanted as an accessory to murder in the murder of Young Dolph. A third man, Cornelius Smith, has been charged with auto theft in connection with a white Mercedes allegedly used as an outing vehicle in the shooting.
