If you’re flying from Los Angeles, New York or Seattle, you can fly to most of the major tourist destinations in Europe with these deals. Alternatively, you can choose to fly in economy class, premium economy class or Icelandair’s Saga Premium class, which is similar to business class.

Here are some of the flights that stood out to us:

  • Icelandic airlines: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Keflavik International Airport (KEF), fares from 442 USD.
  • Icelandic airlines: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to KEF, prices from $461.
  • SAS: JFK to Brussels Airport (BRU), starting at $619 (this is a premium economy class flight and includes a stopover in Copenhagen).
  • SAS: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Copenhagen Airport (CPH), from $739 (this is a premium economy flight).
  • SAS: LAX to Oslo Airport (OSL), starting at $795 (this is a premium economy flight and it includes a stopover in Copenhagen).

We recommend using Google Flights to determine availability and then book your flight on the airline’s website as airlines are more reliable if the flight is canceled, delayed or Reservations are subject to change.

The number of options with these deals can be overwhelming. You can fly business class with Icelandair or premium economy class with SAS. If you’re on a budget, you can fly Icelandair’s basic economy class to Reykjavik.

Let’s say you want to fly business class to Europe, specifically to Berlin from JFK. Icelandair’s $1,040 Saga Premium flight is a bargain — the typical price of such a flight to Berlin is around $3,500.

As seen above, this March 28 Icelandair Saga Premium flight departs JFK at 8:25pm and lands in Berlin at 1:10pm

For return flights, the April 4 flight to JFK leaves Berlin at 2:10 p.m. Both flights to and from Berlin have a transit point in Reykjavik.

Although Google Flights shows a round trip ticket from JFK to Berlin as $974, the flights actually cost $1,040 if you book directly on Icelandair’s website. Sometimes prices on Google Flights differ from prices on airlines’ websites due to the availability of third-party options. For this route, Google Flights offers the option to book with many third-party sites.

Icelandair’s Saga Premium class is almost the same as the typical business class you’ll find on many other airlines, except Saga Premium doesn’t have a sleeper. Passengers can bring one hand baggage and two checked baggage with Saga Premium. This fare also includes food service.

bottom line

These deals to Europe are incredible, so they certainly won’t be around for long. Flying premium economy or business class to Europe can cost thousands of dollars. However, Icelandair and SAS have plenty of deals to Europe for under $1,000 — and Icelandair’s Saga Premium flights are all under $2,000.

You can fly at any price you want and visit almost anywhere in Europe during the warmer months. Usually, this is not only one of the most popular times to visit the continent, but also one of the most expensive.
