BMW says it’s not interested in buying McLaren
BERLIN (Reuters) -BMW denies ‘s report Car on Sundays that it is interested in buying McLaren Car.
Volkswagen’s Audi says it is opening up cooperation opportunities, but flatly denied the rumours that it has completed a deal to buy supercar manufacturer in the hope of achieving a Formula first Born.
German automotive publication Car reported on Sunday that two automakers are interested in buying McLaren Automotive, without specifying its origins.
Audi also interested in the company’s Formula 1 division, Car speak.
BMW car told Reuters by phone that the report was false. Audi said in an email that it regularly looks at various partnership opportunities, but it does not comment on the specific case of McLaren.
