Blink Charging will deliver Level 2 charging stations to General Motors dealers in the United States and Canada, the company announced Tuesday in a press release.
The company says 19.2 kilowatt Blink IQ 200 charging stations have already been shipped to dealers, with more orders to be delivered over the next few months. That means the new hardware will coincide with the launch of the GMC Hummer EV 2022 pickup truck and 2023 Cadillac Lyriq SUV car.
Customers began production of the Hummer EV at GM’s Zero Plant in Detroit late last year, while production of the Lyriq at the former Saturn plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, is expected to begin this spring. .
