Biden says Putin ‘can’t stay in power’: NPR

Speaking in Warsaw, Poland, on Saturday, President Biden said of Russian President Putin: “For God’s sake, this man cannot continue to be in power.”
Shortly after Biden spoke, a White House official downplayed Biden’s remarks that appeared to be a call for Putin’s removal.
The White House official said: “The president’s position is that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over neighboring countries or the region. He did not discuss Putin’s power in Russia or regime change. degree”.
After meeting with Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Biden gave an official address to the crowd in front of Warsaw’s Royal Castle, opening with the words of Polish Pope John Paul II: “Fear not.”
Biden’s visit to Poland to meet Ukrainian and Polish officials comes just over a month after Russia invaded Ukraine. He pledged to continue to support the fight against Russia.

“This battle will not be won in a day or a month. We need to train ourselves for the long battle ahead,” Biden said.
The White House said about 1,000 people attended the speech, including members of Congress, US Embassy staff and Polish President Andrzej Duda.
Biden talks about US sanctions on Russia and says they have damaged the Russian economy.
“The ruble was turned into a pile of rubble,” he said.
