Birch is also made by the folks at Helix, but the Birch line is eco-friendly and is responsible for some of the best organic mattresses available today. Birch is running a 25 percent off sale. plus two free pillows with any mattress purchase (use code LDW25 at checkout). This is a similar sale to the one we saw Birch run for July 4 and Memorial Day, but it’s still a solid deal. But if you want a better deal, head to the furniture store Raymour & Flannigan is also running a sale. and currently sells Birch’s Luxe Natural Mattress for $200 less than the Birch. However, both have more affordable Birch Natural mattresses for the same price.
Avocado
Avocado is our favorite organic mattress maker, and for Labor Day, the company is offering discounts of up to 20 percent. The mattress we’re featuring is currently 15 percent off, but that’s only $100 off its regular price, as we typically see Avocado at 10 percent off. That’s a slightly better price than we typically see, and it’s also a price we’ve seen for other big events like Memorial Day.
Leesa
Leesa has been making great mattresses for years, and they tend to always make our second-best mattress recommendations. The Leesa Sapira Hybrid has been our second pick for years as a great all-around mattress, especially for the price (and that was before the Labor Day sale!), while the new Leesa Sapira Chill recently jumped into that spot with its excellent cooling cover. This sale isn’t exactly great so far, but it does include two free pillows.
Casper
Casper is pretty big in the mattress-in-a-box world. The brand recently revamped its entire mattress line, and Casper’s new base mattress, The One, is now our favorite all-foam mattress. It’s already a super affordable mattress, but it’s on sale for Labor Day with a small discount. We’ve often seen it for under $900, and now you can get it for $800.
Other Labor Day Mattress Promotions
These discounts aren’t as great as the ones above, and they’re usually discounts you can find year-round. Still, they’re good enough prices that we’d generally recommend buying these mattresses, even if they’re not the best deals in town. We’ll update this guide as we get closer to Labor Day with any changes that could make these discounts better (or worse!)

Brooklyn Bedding
I recently switched to a plank mattress after trying Brooklyn Bedding’s Plank Firm Natural. But we like several of Brooklyn Bedding’s other firm mattresses, all of which are 25% off with code LABORDAY25. The code will automatically be applied when you add the mattress to your cart. This isn’t a huge sale—it’s typically the price we see listed for these mattresses. Still, we generally recommend buying them at this price.
Bear
Bears are our favorite food. side bedBear Elite. Bear is currently discounted by up to 35 percent, but the $1,499 price is what we typically see, so this isn’t a particularly attractive discount. Still, it’s a price we’d recommend buying at instead of the higher price it will rise to over time.
Purple
If you’re a hot sleeper, start shopping: we think Purple does best cooling mattress. Purple’s website offers discounts of up to $500 on the Restore line, but the mattress we recommend is only $300 off—and we often see it for $300 off. Still, this is a great mattress if you want to sleep cooler at night.
