In spite of Battlefield 2042 Not officially launching until next Friday, it launched today for those paying extra. Those who purchased the Gold or Ultimate edition, or subscribed to EA Play Pro, can now get started and start spawning faces in Dice’s new FPS. Everyone else, hey, be glad other people are paying to test the game for you so it works better later. Although it is reported that voice chat won’t even work by the time it launches properly.
The game officially launches on the 19th, but early access starts today. You can join by purchasing a Gold Edition (additional £30, including first season ticket) or Ultimate Edition (additional £50, including season pass and some games), or EA Play Pro subscribers also have can play the full game during normal EA Play members get a 10 hour trial. Pre-ordering is pretty tough but I could buy the Gold Edition if you’re a fan who knows they’ll play no matter what.

Dice is currently figuring out some twists and turns. Portal, a mode that allows players to learn the game rules and army composition, etc., has server is missing.
