Base Polestar Range, Acura EVs, Alaska Chargers: Today’s Car News
Polestar earned a respectable range rating for its most affordable model. Alaskans will have enough fast chargers for trips along an in-state route. And Honda’s premium Acura brand will focus more on electric vehicles. This and more, here at Green Car Report.
The Acura brand will be “Go much faster” towards EVsand a top US executive told New carit plans to skip the hybrids that its parent brand Honda is embracing significantly.
The Polestar 2 Single Motor has achieved 270 miles range rating — better than it predicted for the model earlier this year. That’s more than the base Tesla Model 3 or another example the single-engine Ford Mustang Mach-E. But it is far from the efficiency of the Model 3.
And Alaska is set to get public electric vehicle fast charging station network. Located less than 100 miles apart, they will connect the coastal cities of Homer and Seward with Fairbanks. And you can bet much of the knowledge gained with the rollout of the EV range and chargers in Norway will come in handy here.
