“If the president meets Prime Minister Modi, then the protection of the Muslim minority in India’s Hindu majority – that’s worth mentioning. If I have a conversation with Prime Minister Modi, who I know well, part of my argument would be that if you don’t protect the rights of minorities in India, there is a high probability that India will at some point start to split,” he said, adding that that would go against India’s interests.
