Auto Bavaria partners with KL Agape Star Lions Club for beach and reef conservation initiative at Redang Island
Auto Bavaria recently partnered with KL Agape Star’s Lions Club to run a beach and reef conservation initiative, as part of the company’s CSR program. The three-day road trip begins at Sime Darby Motors City in Ara Damansara, where 49 club members and 15 Auto Bavaria employees form 15 units of the BMW 218i Gran Coupe before being marked on the journey to Redang Island.
On the way there, the convoy made a stop at Gabungan Persatuan-Persatuan Tionghua in Kuantan, Pahang, which is dedicated to improving the social welfare of the Kuantan community. There, the convoy members spent time meeting with 30 elderly people there and donated some essential items.
The cruise then continued towards Kuala Terengganu jetty, and after sailing to Redang Island, Lions Club members and Auto Bavaria spent the day cleaning up the beach. In addition to collecting a total of 13 trash bags, the team planted three artificial reefs with 48 nubbins of coral per reef at the marine park on Redang Island to preserve the coral reef ecosystem.
