Australian supercar champion joins NASCAR Chicago street race
The NASCAR Cup Series is scheduled to be held its first street race in Chicago on the Sunday before Independence Day. Trackhouse Racing announced that thing Shane van Gisbergen will get behind the wheel of the health-promoting Chevrolet Camaro #91 in Chicago. Van Gisbergen is a three-time Australian Supercar champion and the defending champion. The 34-year-old New Zealander is also fourth on the Supercars all-time winners list with 76 race wins. He has proven adept in various forms of racing. He grew up in karting and dirt racing and was successful in motorsport. Last year, “SVG” finished third in WRC2 at the New Zealand Rally, his international debut.
Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks said in a statement:

Van Gisbergen’s involvement is part of Trackhouse’s Project91 initiative.
