According to Gates, “if we’re serious about tackling climate change, and frankly, the first thing we should do is keep the reactors running safely.”

But “even then, just maintaining that status quo is not enough. We need more nuclear power to eliminate emissions in the US and avert climate catastrophe,” Gates said Wednesday.

Nuclear power is almost banned in Australia. Australia operates a medical isotope reactor in Sydney, but does not have a nuclear power plant, although there is a third of the known reserves of Uranium in the world. In theory, you could apply for a permit, but in the current political climate that won’t be approved.

Some politicians raised their heads from the railing, only to be yelled at by their colleagues. For example, Anthony Albanese recently criticized his party colleague, South Australian Prime Minister Peter Malinauskas, when the South Australian Prime Minister appeared to be open to nuclear consideration – despite the South Australian Prime Minister’s later statement. that his words were misinterpreted.

The Prime Minister of South Australia has completely rejected the future use of nuclear generators in Australia, saying the technology is “totally uneconomical” which has been thoroughly investigated and dismissed.

Main attractions:

  • Peter Malinauskas says he is not “seeking to suggest that nuclear power should be part of the mix in our nation”
  • He said that nuclear power is not a viable option because it would make energy more expensive
  • Mr. Malinauskas said that the price ceiling and the price of coal are “worthy of consideration”.

In an interview with ABC 7:30amPeter Malinauskas has rewritten comments he made earlier in the week in a News Corp interview, widely interpreted as pro-nuclear and false by the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister of South Australia told ABC 7.30 host Sarah Ferguson: “I am not trying to suggest that nuclear power should be part of the mix in our country.

Will nuclear energy enthusiast Bill Gates’ visit soften the strong Albanese opposition to nuclear?

Personally, I doubt Bill Gates’ visit will lead to any change in policy direction.

In my opinion, Prime Minister Albanese and his team have repeatedly demonstrated a complete lack of understanding and a rough grasp of their numbers. In my opinion, the plan has no network of their bones head and deep policy mistakealong with their eye-raising claims about renewable energy, is proof of their ignorance and incompetence.

The Albanese government will not change course just because Bill Gates is in favor of nuclear, because Prime Minister Albanese and his team believe they already know what is best for Australia.
