Audi launches enduro e-MTB in cooperation with Fantic, equipped with 90 Nm Brose engine, 720 Wh battery

This particular electric Audi is different from the others – it has two wheels instead of four like other Audis have. Yes, it’s a limited edition electric bike. Specifically, an enduro-style full-suspension e-bike with an all-electric pedal assist motor.

Audi’s E-MTB was developed in collaboration with Fantic. It’s basically a respected XEF. It has a Fantic 720 Wh battery in the frame, which powers the Brose S-Mag pedal-assist motor with 90 Nm of torque. The wheels are a mullet-style 29+27.5 setup, and suspension is handled by Ohlins, with 180mm travel RXF forks up front and TTX 22M coil shock absorbers at the rear. The group used is a 12-speed SRAM GX and it uses Incas 2.0 brakes. Other specs include Vittoria tires, dropper posts, Renthal bars and Switch handles.

This puts the bike’s specs on par with competitors, such as the Kenevo non-SL Special. This is interesting because usually when these high-end automakers decide to make e-bikes, they usually make a flat-bar hybrid bike or a drop-bar road bike.

So what Audi has done here is unusual. They say that when making this bike, they were inspired by RS Q e-tron racer Dakarso the e-MTB with full suspension might fit that image better.

There are three sizes – S (158–168 cm), M (169–178 cm) and L (179–188 cm).

How much to own one? You will have to pay EUR 8,900 (RM 43,000) including VAT.
