Audi will launch the A6 E-Tron, an all-electric version of its powerful sedan, later this summer.
This will be the second Audi model to use the Volkswagen Group’s 800-volt electrical system. Advanced Electrical Platform (PPE) dedicated EV platform, launched earlier this year on Audi Q6 E-Tron And Porsche Macan Electric SUV.

Audi has previewed the A6 E-Tron in 2021 with concept of the same name. That concept, which Audi said at the time was 95 percent production ready, featured a fastback shape closer to the current Audi A7 than the A6, while being similar in size to both models.
The concept features a dual-motor all-wheel drive system rated at 469 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torquewith the ability to accelerate to 62 mph in less than four seconds. A 100 kWh battery pack can provide 300 miles of range, Audi said at the time of the concept’s debut, with the ability to charge from 5% to 80% in less than 25 minutes thanks to the PPE platform’s 800-volt electronics.

A wagon version, or Avant in Audi parlance, is also planned, though it may not debut alongside the sedan this summer. It’s also unclear whether the Audi A6 Avant E-Tron will make it to the US. BMW i5 TouringThe wagon version of one of the A6 E-Tron’s closest competitors won’t be coming here. However, the A6 E-Tron sedan is expected to arrive in the US early next year as a 2025 model.
Unlike rival Mercedes-Benz, there is delay your EV target and plans to keep internal combustion models in its lineup until the 2030s, Audi has pledged to launch its last gasoline-powered car by 2026, CEO Gernot Döllner said in March during the automaker’s 2023 financial results announcement. That would likely see the A6 E-Tron Completely replaces the internal combustion A6 sedan and the future A6 Avant.
