Attorney Arthur Horne has confirmed that he will no longer represent any of the men charged with the murder of rapper Young Dolph.
“After reading a few recent articles, browsing half a dozen blogs, and skimming through the comments section, I’ve learned a sobering truth: Misinformation spreads and sells much faster than the truth. There’s an old saying that: ‘Lying makes it go halfway around the world before the truth puts on its shoes,’ he wrote on social media.
A follower later asked if this meant he would not represent the alleged shooters, and he said it did.
Shundale Barnett, who lives in Dallas but hails from Memphis, has been charged with a minor charge following the incident of aiding Justin Johnson, officials said this week. Barnett also faces charges of willful first-degree murder and theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000.
Justin Johnson, also known as Straight Drop, was arrested Tuesday in Indiana. Cornelius Smith was detained and indicted in Shelby County on several counts in this case, including first-degree murder.
