Apollo Nida asks judge to end probation for resisting arrest
Apollo Nida was charged with money laundering in 2014 and faced 430 years in prison but pleaded guilty and was released in 2019.
Apollo is completing five years of probation but according to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Apollo has asked a federal judge to end his probation early.
His attorney argued that he “earned an income as a guest speaker; Mr. Nida is also paid to host parties and events in many cities and states throughout the country. In fact, while issuing pre-issuance (bonds), Mr. Nida continued to travel and earn income through the same means. “
The petition states that Apollo has five separate probation officers and that an issue occurred in May, when a PO approved a work-related trip to Miami. He failed to file the papers and Apollo was arrested.
Apollo was charged with resisting an officer/arrest without committing an act of violence and was set at $1,000. Months later, the charges were dropped, during which time he was required to track GPS and adhere to strict curfews “affecting his livelihood and family.” He was unable to travel and he also said that the probation officer lied about his arrest.
The judge has yet to make a decision.
