Anxious shelter dog that no one wants finally finds his soul mate
Shelters can be intimidating and extremely difficult environments for animals to adapt to. Some never get used to it and become bored in their cribs, so this can make it even harder for them to adopt.
Sherman is one of those dogs that has difficulty adjusting to shelter life. He was so nervous and stressed that he completely stopped eating. The shelter staff knew they had to find a way to help him, even though no one wanted to adopt him.
That’s when they turned to the shelter volunteer, Michelle, who happily agreed to foster him. Little did she and Sherman know that he would soon become a permanent member of her family.
Sherman and Michelle’s husband formed a bond that was too quick and inseparable. So when it finally came time for Sherman to meet potential adopters, Michelle knew she couldn’t separate Sherman from his best friend.
Then she and her husband decided, without hesitation, to make Sherman a permanent member of their family. Sherman is emotional to have a forever home with a loving family.
Although Sherman was lame from a previous injury, Michelle and her husband knew exactly how to give him the perfect life he deserves.
They took Sherman for a walk in the section, and pushed him into a dog stroller when he got tired of walking. They also put carpet on the floor to make it easier for him to walk instead of wooden floors.
In addition to those accommodations, Sherman received acupuncture and specialized treatments, which really made a huge difference.
