When Cygames announced Granblue Fantasy vs Risingit says that the entire current list of Duel with will be available from launch. It also says that new characters will be added Rise list, but do not specify who. We now know at least one, thanks to an announcement that aired on February 25, 2023 in Cygames Cup 2023. General Anila participates Granblue Fantasy vs Rising when it launches in late 2023.
Cygames also uploaded a short trailer showing Anila in Granblue Fantasy vs Rising.
The teaser shows some short footage of the Temple of God, which serves as a connecting point for New Year’s events in the year. GBF fit. Then it shows Anila in Granblue Fantasy vs Rising rendered in 3D, riding on one of her sheep. She then does a pose similar to her untapped character art. The end of the trailer also reveals that another trailer will be uploaded on March 4, 2023. It doesn’t say whether that trailer will be for a new character or for Anila again.
Anila is one of the Twelve Generals in GBF. The God General is a limited character usually only found in GBFNew Year celebration every year. Each Shen Xiang is themed with a sacred animal in the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. Since its introduction in 2015, The Year of the Lamb, Anila’s character design has been inspired by sheep. She is voiced by Aoi Yuuki, who also plays Hibiki in SymphonyFutaba in character 5and Lucy in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Granblue Fantasy vs Rising is in development for PS4, PS5 and PC and will be released in 2023.
