The great thing about waterfalls is that you don’t really need a large waterfall to create a sense of grandeur. Just remember your opinion rule. Using the wide angle to magnify the perspective and getting up close can recreate that feeling of vivid and vast movement. Living in Ohio, I don’t have access to monumental waterfalls, but I can still create compelling photos even with waterfalls that are only a few feet high.
