All New and Returning Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the newest Pokémon game on the block, and the first new main entry in the series since Pokémon Sword and Shield launched in November 2019. Scarlet and Violet will launch later this year – date November 18, 2022, to be precise – and both are based around the Iberian Peninsula, so expect plenty of references to Spanish and Portuguese culture.

Here are all the new Pokémon we know so far:

New Pokémon

Sprigatito

Sprigatito stats at a glance:

  • Type – Grass Cat Pokémon
  • Type – Grass
  • Height – 1’4″
  • Weight – 9 lbs.
  • Ability – Overgrown

Sprigatito is a combination of “sprig” – like, uh, a plant – and “gatito”, which is Spanish for “kitten” or “little cat”. He is a small cat, and he is of the grass type. He is 1’4″, weighs 9 lbs, the ability is Overgrow, we also know that he has the ability to photosynthesize, and he has a special move “fragrance” that makes opponents lose their mind fighting spirit.

Fuecoco

Summary of Fuecoco statistics:

  • Type – Pokémon Fire Croc
  • Type – Fire
  • Height – 1’4″
  • Weight – 21.6 lbs.
  • Ability – Blaze

Fuecoco is a tiny boy known as the “Fire Crocodile Pokémon”, and his name is derived from the Spanish “fuego”, which means fire, and “cocodrilo”, a crocodile. . He looks like a chili, but we think he looks like an apple. He’s fire type, apparently, 1’4″ tall, 21.6 lbs in weight (he’s a heavy guy!) And he has the Blaze ability. absorbs heat through its scales and converts it into fire energy.

Quaxly

Summary of stats:

  • Type – Duckling Pokémon
  • Type – Water
  • Height – 1’8″
  • Weight – 13.4 lbs.
  • Ability – Torrents

Quaxly is the last of the three starter Pokémon. He is a Pure Water Duck-type Pokémon, the tallest of the three with a height of 1’8″, weighing 13.4 lbs and having the ability to Torrent. His signature move is the one involving the legs, us. doubtful, as the official website states that “in battle, it kicks opponents quickly and continuously.”

Pawmi

Summary of Pawmi’s stats:

  • Type – Mouse Pokémon
  • Type – Electricity
  • Height – first ‘
  • Weight – 5.5 lbs.
  • Ability – Static / natural healing

Pawmi is a bi-electric (sounds familiar) Pokémon that is only 1 foot tall and weighs 5.5 lbs. He is one of the Pokémon used by your friend, Nemona, with the ability to Static or Natural Healing. He can generate electricity by rubbing his cheeks, and we officially think Game Freak has run out of ideas. He’s VERY cute, so it’s hard to care.

Lechonk

Lechonk’s stats at a glance:

  • Type – Hog Pokémon
  • Type – Normal
  • Height – 1’8″
  • Weight – 22.5 lbs.
  • Ability – Aroma Veil / Gluttony

Lechonk is another Pokémon of Nemona, which is a combination of lechon (pork) and chonk (like, chonky. Chunky. He’s fat). He is a normal-type Hog Pokémon, 1’8″ tall and 22.5 lbs., with the ability to Aroma Veil (dispel bug Pokémon) or Gluttony. The website states that he is “fat at first glance.” But in reality, a Pokémon’s body is mostly muscle built by constantly walking around in search of food. “Awww.

Smoliv

Summary of Smoliv’s stats:

  • Type – Olive Pokémon
  • Type – Grass / Normal
  • Height – first ‘
  • Weight – 14.3 lbs.
  • Ability – Early Bird

Smoliv, Nemona’s final Pokémon, is – take this – a small olive. We love him. He is a normal Grass and Olive type dual-type Pokémon, 1′ tall, 14.3 lbs (probably due to the olive pit), and he has the Early Bird ability. Like a camel, Smoliv stores nutrients in the form of oils in the fruit on its head, so he can go a week without eating. Oil can also be used as a weapon, but mainly to buy time this scared olive to run away.

Cetitan

P23 02

Summary of Cetitan stats:

  • Type – Pokémon Terra Whale
  • Type – Rock
  • Height – 14’9″
  • Weight – 1,543.2 lbs.
  • Ability – Thick Fat / Slush Rush

Cetitan is a giant, white and pink Pokémon whose enormous size and weight instantly ranks him as one of the greatest Pokémon of all time (Heaviest Pokémon is Celesteela, weighing 2,204.4lbs or 999.9kg. ). He is a land whale, with strong muscles, thick fur, and a horn that can freeze his surroundings. We think he looks a bit like a fat Latias.

Paldean Wooper

P07 01

Summary of Paldean Wooper’s stats:

  • Type – Poison Fish Pokémon
  • Type – Poison / Ground
  • Height – 1’4″
  • Weight – 24.3 lbs.
  • Ability – Poison Point / Water Absorption

Paldean Wooper is our first regional variation – a Wooper covered in “poison movie”. His official description states that “in ancient times, Wooper lived underwater in the Paldea region. But it seems that after losing a territorial struggle, they began to live in terrestrial bogs”, further reinforcing try to add the past/future theme that Scarlet and Violet are. go give. Also, we appreciate his neat design that… his beard (?) looks like the international symbol for “poison” – the crossbones.

The description also states that “you can see poisoned Pokémon in the areas where these Woopers live”, sounds like Scarlet and Violet can introduce wild battles with Pokémon that already have status effects. Cool!

Fidough

P06 02

Fidough’s stats at a glance:

  • Type – Puppy Pokémon
  • Type – Fairy
  • Height – first ‘
  • Weight – 24 lbs.
  • Ability – Private tempo

Fidough is a charming puppy made of bread. The official Pokémon website describes him thus:

“Fidough’s moist skin is elastic, while also firm and soft. When these Pokémon get excited, they threaten their opponents by arching up to look bigger.

Fidough ferments its surroundings using the yeast in its breath. It is said that yeast is useful for cooking, so this Pokémon has been protected by people for a long time. “

OH! Total!

Koraidon

Legendary

Koraidon (left) is the first of two treasures that Pokémon Scarlet players will encounter. Not much is known about Koraidon, but according to Pokéjungle, “korai” means “ancient” in Japanese. He looks like a dragon, at least, maybe with a dual combat or fire style.

The latest trailer confirms that Miraidon and Koraidon will transform into motorcycles, flying motorbikes, and marine motorcycles. Likely, this means we’ll be able to get legendaries very early in the game…

Miraidon

FUK2r2nXoAETdSe

Miraidon (right) is the legendary Pokémon Violet, and Pokéjungle says that “mirai” means “future” in Japanese – and he certainly looks part, as he looks like a dragon made from car parts. Maybe the dragon/electric type?

The latest trailer confirms that Miraidon and Koraidon will transform into motorcycles, flying motorbikes, and marine motorcycles. Likely, this means we’ll be able to get legendaries very early in the game…
