Not being able to understand a language, when surrounded by only speakers of that language, is a feeling of helplessness. Being lost and not being able to understand what is going on, and not even being able to speak up and ask for assistance properly, can be very scary. Combine that with having amnesia and being trapped in a small house with a stranger, and you’re left in a haunting and terrifying situation. that is 7 days to finish with you, an indie game from Lizardry new to Nintendo Switch. And yes, it’s as unsettling as you can imagine.
At first, it may not seem that thing bad. People here with you are not hostile. She seems willing to talk to you. She will follow you around the house as you explore together. If you use the point-and-click interface to draw attention to objects, she’ll say some words you can use to help figure out what she calls them. You can muster a rudimentary understanding of types. Maybe even help with the daily chores, by helping to cook meals or take care of flowers. Cooking is a bit more difficult, as you first need to figure out the words for colors and certain types of items and liquids. But gardening involves pictures and words, helping to find actions.
But even so, there’s something that doesn’t seem to Right IN 7 Days To End With You. It sneaks up on you. When you first leave the room and enter the hallway, there is a mirror. I thought, “Wonderful! A way to learn new words!” Or maybe when I see myself and point to it, the woman with me will call my name. Maybe it will even trigger something and unlock the memory? But it’s broken. I can say I am a human being, but nothing more. Notably, it looks like it was made in such a way that someone purposely smashed it. More like they punched or hit the mirror, rather than some accident causing it to fall.
Then there’s the upper floor. There is a study. But… something is wrong. At first, it seemed like it might have been some ordinary scientific endeavor. Sure enough, there’s a big jar of some liquid on top of the burner. There are books and documents, including a large book on a stand. However, there is also a backbone on the floor. Unidentified objects, presumably organisms, appear to be preserved in formaldehyde. But also, the person next to me doesn’t seem to be sad when I go there? She didn’t react the way she did when I tried to leave the house. So maybe I’m overreacting. Maybe alchemy isn’t a big deal in the world of 7 Days To End With You. Maybe a house isn’t a house unless you have some human remains?
Oh, but I’ve noticed the times this new partner shows emotion in 7 days to finish with you. You can go anywhere in the house. Anywhere at all. But you can’t leave it. If you try, she is forced to stop you. But you can tell things are not dangerous outside. If you go to the window in the bedroom, you can see the clean water and the city. She even tells you that people live there. (At least, that’s what I said. There are still newspapers from different periods, so civilization is still intact. But for some reason, I can’t leave. The woman This woman won’t let me leave.
Of course, I’m leaving everything here. If I talk too much, it spoils everything. And while 7 days to finish with you sometimes it’s very confusing and confusing, to the point that I have to ask other people’s help to figure out some words that I can’t decipher on my own, it’s really fun. not to mention 7 days to finish with you maintains a haunting atmosphere throughout, especially on Switch.
