Adrien Broner rolls over Bill Hutchinson on his way to a unanimous decision to win
By: Sean Crose
Adrien “The Problem” Broner returned to the ring after a two-year absence on Friday night to face unknown Bill Hutchinson in a fight scheduled for the 12th. The match took place in Miami, fueled by none other than Don King, whom Broner was affiliated with recently and is the main event of the small pay-per-view card.
Broner 34-4-1 looked impressive in his first game as he basically beat Hutchinson 20-2-4. Hutchinson tried as hard as he could, but continued to be hit in the back by him twice in the second half, as well as in the third. Broner continued to dominate in both the fourth and fifth innings. Credit to Hutchinson for being ready to go with his sword.
Still, Hutchinson stood firm. Indeed, he fought back. It is true that Broner is dealing damage, but not finishing off his men. Perhaps he simply entered the rounds after being away from the ring for a long time. Or maybe he really is rusty. By the eighth round, some might be surprised that Hutchinson was still standing, even though he was standing there.
Not much changed in the ninth and tenth innings. Suffice it to say, Broner earned himself a decisive unanimous victory. However, not everyone is impressed. “AB looks like shit,” Regis Prograis tweeted during the battle. “He should have kicked this guy out.”
