Accuser Gervonta Davis now says the boxer ‘didn’t hurt me’

The woman who said Gervonta Davis hit her in the face on Tuesday in Parkland, Florida is apparently denying her allegation.

Vanessa Posso, Davis’s mother, called 911 after accusing her lightweight competitor of hitting her in the face during an argument, after which he was arrestedimprisoned and then released.

On Friday, she pointed out on Instagram that Davis, “didn’t harm me or our daughter.”

She or another wrote on her Instagram account (@itsrgnessa): “The past few days have been painful and extremely exhausting for all parties involved. I pride myself on being extremely private; This situation is the last thing I want to be made public. The state of our relationship was in jeopardy and Gervonta and I were both at fault for the argument.

“While my emotions were running high, I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement during a stressful time when I was in a frenzy. Gervonta did not harm me or our daughter. Today, we sought the help we needed to get on with our lives. I am confident that we will succeed in co-parenting with the counseling provided to us.”

Gervonta Davis denied the allegationscall them “cow—-.”.

“I’ve NEVER laid my hands on MY KIDS AND MY Daughters Are Crazy!! I am NOT a MONSTER,” he wrote on Instagram.

He also appeared to say in a lengthy post that the incident was an attempt by his accuser to take money from him.

Davis was charged with minor domestic violence after allegedly slapping Posso’s right face in what was described in the police report as “closed-handed”, causing her upper lip to be scratched.

The police report indicated that he “actually and intentionally touched and hit” [the woman] against her will [and] intentionally hurt her.”

Audio of the alleged victim’s 911 call was obtained by multiple outlets. She told the operator: “I need help, please! I’m trying to go home. I had a baby in the car, and he attacked me in front of the child. And, now he’s ruining my tyres!” Then she stopped and said, “Please help me! He will kill me!”

The call was disconnected but she called back and added: “I need to go home, I’m in danger now!”

Police received another call from a woman, who appeared to be Posso, who alleges that Davis also spit on her.

The incident happened around 1:25 p.m. Tuesday. He was arrested at 2:50 pm that day.

Davis is scheduled to face Hector Luis Garcia in a 135-pound pay-per-view match on January 7 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. His handlers did not make an announcement on the status of the match.

The 28-year-old has also agreed to meet social media star Ryan Garcia next year.

Davis has a second case pending. He is due to appear in court on February 16 for a November 5, 2020 crash and runaway charge in his hometown of Baltimore. Four people were injured in the accident.
