ABR’s Preakness Party returns in 2022


America’s Best Racing announced April 11 that their seventh annual Pre-Preakness Party will return May 18, at the Washington Mountain Tavern in Baltimore, Md., after two years. disruption due to COVID-19. The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, which recognizes, examines and awards grants to approved aftercare organizations nationally, will be the beneficiary of all tickets sold. A silent auction will also be launched, with all proceeds going to benefit TAA and Beyond the Wire, a childcare organization based in Maryland.

The party, launched by ABR in 2014, became the unofficial Preakness Stakes kick-off event for racing fans. Over the years, a mix of Preakness runners, chariot racers and many more have attended the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to socialize with famous racing handicapped athletes, who will be in attendance to share their thoughts and insights on Bets.

Tickets are currently on sale at Eventbrite for $25 (tickets will cost $35 on the spot). Admission includes one drink, a snack buffet and appetizers at the bar, and entry into a lucky draw for two tickets to the 2022 Preakness Stakes on May 21 at Pimlico racetrack. The silent auction will feature items from ABR partners Christine A. Moore Millinery and Old Smoke Clothing Co., alongside rare racing memorabilia and autographed collectibles.
