Aaron Rodgers playoff record: How many wins, NFC championships and Super Bowls for the Packers QB

Aaron Rodgers has dominated the NFL calendar for 2021-22.

During the season, Rodgers’ future with Green Bay – and whether he will retire or be sold – was a frequent topic of discussion. In the regular season, Rodgers raced for 4,115 yards, 37 TDs, and seven interceptions and took the Packers to a 13-4 record and top seed in the NFC. Rodgers is in line for his third NFL MVP award.

But what about the playoffs?

That’s the big question in the NFC playoffs against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Rodgers has enjoyed success through 14 seasons as a starter for the Packers. However, the chase for a second Super Bowl appearance remains.

Rodgers is 11-9 as a starter in the post-season period. 11 wins are tied with former Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks Troy Aikman (11-4) and Roger Staubach (11-6).

Four of Rodgers’ playoff losses were in overtime games, and three of those losses, the Packers did not own a single strike.

Only seven quarterbacks have more playoff wins. Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady (32-11) – Sunday’s Rodgers rival – leads that list by a wide margin. Joe Montana (July 16), Terry Bradshaw (May 14), John Elway (July 14), Peyton Manning (14-13), Ben Roethlisberger (October 13) and Brett Favre (November 13) also have many than the playoff wins.

Rodgers is leading 1-0 in the Super Bowl. He led Green Bay to a 31-25 win over Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV on February 6, 2011. Rodgers won the Super Bowl MVP title. He completed 24 of 39 passes for 309 yards and three TDs.

Rodgers has a finish rate of 64.6 in 19 playoff starts. He averaged 283.4 yards of passes per game and totaled 45 TDs with 13 interceptions in those games.

Rodgers was 4-2 in the final inning of his career. He also won 5-3 in the divisional playoffs ahead of Saturday’s game against San Francisco.

Rodgers is leading 1-4 in the NFC Championship, and his last playoff game against Tampa Bay led to all the season-defying rumors.

Rodgers is 1-4 in the NFC championship game. He is one of 12 midfielders to appear in at least five games for the championship.

Rodgers led the Packers to a 21-14 victory over the Bears in their first ever NFC Championship appearance on January 23, 2011.

Green Bay has won the NFC three times since then. The Packers lost to Seattle 28-22 on January 18, 2015 – a game in which the Seahawks took a 19-7 lead with 5:04 remaining before a legendary comeback.

The Packers lost to Atlanta 44-21 on January 22, 2017; and San Francisco beat Green Bay 37-20 on January 19, 2020.

Rodgers is 5-3 in the playoffs at Lambeau Field. Rodgers is 83-18-1 at the start of the regular season at home.

The Packers won the NFL championship at home in 1939, 1961, 1965, and 1967 before the NFL-AFL merged. Green Bay won its last NFC championship at Lambeau Field on January 12, 1997 with a 30-13 victory over Carolina.

The Packers lost their last two NFC championship games at Lambeau Field on January 20, 2008. The Giants defeated the Packers 23-20 in Favre’s final game against the Packers. Rodgers took over as starter the next season.

Rodgers, who turned 38 in December, has played at his usual high level this season. The Packers were the No. 1 seed for the second consecutive season, and Rodgers started in 15 regular games of the season.

However, the road to Green Bay’s Super Bowl will not be easy. Rodgers lost to San Francisco 0-3 in the playoffs, and the Packers came out with a 30-28 win over the 49ers in Week 3.

If the Packers win, then they host the winner of the Buccaneers and Rams in the NFC championship. Green Bay beat Los Angeles 36-28 in Week 12. A rematch with Tampa Bay and Tom Brady is also possible.

Given the extent to which Rodgers has been in the news this season, the next two weeks will be must-see television.
