This boy has a very large and deep wound filled with maggots.
He hid himself, giving up, waiting to die in a small alcove he found in a construction site. However, as our rescue team approached, his tail, which had been so gentle, wagged again. And wave again: a soft thump. Then another soft thud. His eyes radiated a kindness that never faded during the six weeks of cleaning and fresh dressings.
He brought sunshine to everyone he met, every moment, on the threshold of death when we received him, but was never too sick to give love. We had to name him carefully: Angel. In its purest form.
