Meet Nibbles. Nibbles came to the family and immediately adopted my special needs cat Wiggles, now 16 years old. At that time, Nibbles was 3 years old and Wiggles was 13 years old. Nibbles decides that Wiggles needs someone to look after him. Now, he makes sure that all of Wiggles’ needs are met.
Wiggles has only three legs and has some difficulty moving. He can’t jump on things, so he needs help climbing into my bed. Nibbles would come and pick me up when Wiggles needed a big bed or a treat. It is lovely. When Nibbles couldn’t find Wiggles, he panicked, looked for him everywhere, and went around the house to call him. It is lovely!
Another cute thing that is very unusual about Nibbles is that he is a super clean cat. I caught him grooming me. It doesn’t wash its face like other cats. He dipped his feet in the basin of water, splashed the water on his face, and then rubbed the water on his face to clean it. If he could use both front paws at the same time, he would draw water like a human!
The bond between Nibbles and Wiggles is unbelievable and I fear one day something will happen to Wiggles. I don’t know how Nibbles will deal with it.
