Patrick Mahomes hints Chiefs could use plays designed by Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s relationship with Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce has had a great influence on American Footballreported to have caused a 30% increase Chiefs fans only since the pair were first paired together more than a year ago.

This season, Swift’s influence could spill over into the team’s on-field issues. Patrick Mahomes recently revealed that Swift “asks a lot of good questions” and may be responsible for some of their drama this season.

“She really cares about football,” Mahomes said.[Swift] start writing a play. We may have to put one in.”

“I think it’s great to see girls and women actually enjoying watching football,” Mahomes added. “I know — being a dad of girls — it’s great to see these little girls, these daughters, and how much they enjoy spending time with their dad, watching football. And then meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and how great she is. I think it’s special for me because she’s, like you said, the most famous person in the world, she can’t [genuine]”

Head coach Andy Reid is known as one of the most creative play callers in NFL history, which likely made Kansas City more likely to run one of Swift’s plays in their first Super Bowl win over San Francisco In the 2019 season, Reid took a play that Michigan used in the 1948 Rose BowlThe play, which had three back row players twirling like ballerinas before kick-off, was as effective as Damien Williams run to gain first on fourth and 1.

Reid also designed a play earlier for Kelce to play QB. The tight end took a shot from the shotgun before faking a pass to Tyreek Hill and threw a 2-yard touchdown in the playoff win over Pittsburgh in the 2021 season.

The Chiefs have shown some of their tricks in the preseason. Mahomes throw a pass behind the back with Kelce in their exhibition game against DetroitHowever, Mahomes later said the play was improvised due to Kelce running the wrong way.

Regardless, the Chiefs have a long history of having some trick plays up their sleeves. With Swift’s ability to design plays, the sleeve could be filled with even more trick plays. So if you hear Mahomes exclaiming “1989” or “Cruel Summer” at the line of scrimmage, it could just be a trick play Swift designed.
