Best Google Pixel phones of 2024, tested and reviewed, which model to buy, cases and accessories, discount features

For Pixels even older than that, you’re better off buying one of the newer phones we recommend above. Any older Pixel isn’t worth buying anymore. ( Pixel 5 Support Window (That’s over, and the Pixel 6 won’t get Android updates after July 2025.) You can still find some of these updates at various retailers, but unless they’re actually free, stick with any of the models above.

Best Pixel Cases and Accessories

This silicone case lets you match the color of your Pixel phone. It’s durable and nice to the touch, with raised edges on the front to protect the screen. It’s made from recycled plastic. While older cases were prone to picking up lint and dust, the updated Pixel 8A case is more resistant to dust. I also like that the charging port is slightly more open, making it easier to swipe up from the screen.

Totallee is known for ultra thin caseand the one I tried on the Pixel 8 almost feels like you have nothing on the phone. It won’t protect the phone from anything other than everyday scratches. I recommend getting a clear case instead. It provides buttons and raised bezels around the edges of the screen. Plus, the Pixel’s colors shine through pretty well.

This is best if you frequently attach your Pixel to the handlebars of your bike or electric scooter. Peak Design’s mounting system lets you attach your phone magnetically Multi-Purpose Bike Rack ($50)and it stays in place. After almost a year of testing, I have yet to see a phone fall out of my car using this mounting system. It uses Apple MagSafe Systemso it works with a lot MagSafe Accessorieseven wireless chargers. The company also has some Magnetic accessorieslike a car vent holderThe case itself is beautiful; I just wish the edges were raised a bit for better screen protection. It comes in more colors than ever before.

This is one of the best clear cases you can find for the Pixel, especially at this price point. The buttons are responsive, the Pixel’s color shows through clearly, and the back isn’t as sticky as some other clear cases.

Caseology Snap Fit Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy

Caseology Tempered Glass Screen Protector

Pixel phones don’t have a great track record when it comes to screen durability—they scratch easily. We tested this protector first on the Pixel 5A, and it held up well. It’s easy to install, and it includes a squeegee to remove air bubbles. You get two screen protectors for this price (some only include one, check the product page), along with a microfiber cloth, a cleaning cloth, and dust removal stickers. Spigen’s screen protector for Pixel 8A very similar in what you get and the application process, and the prices are equally affordable.

This screen protector was really easy to apply and barely gave me any bubbles. You only get one protector, but there’s an alcohol wipe to clean the screen first, a microfiber cloth, an application applicator, and a squeegee. The problem? It’s not tempered glass, but a blend of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a cheaper material that’s often not impact-resistant.

You only get one screen protector here, and it’s expensive. Zagg claims it’s five times more durable than regular screen protectors, and I haven’t seen many scratches on the Pixels I’ve applied, but take that with a grain of salt. It’s easy to apply with the included applicator, but Zagg doesn’t include a squeegee, so you’ll have to use your fingers to push out any air bubbles. The package comes with a dust protector, a wet wipe, and a microfiber cloth. For the Pixel Fold, the screen protector is only for the outer display.

This is another expensive protector from Zagg that’s easy to apply. It’s significantly thicker than any of the other screen protectors in this guide, so if you’re prone to dropping your phone, it might be worth splurging on. You’ll get a wet wipe, a microfiber cloth, and a dust removal sticker, along with an application tool to easily stick the protector in place.

Google Pixel Gen 2 Wireless Charging Dock

Google Pixel Stand (2nd Gen)

Wireless charging is available on all the Pixel phones mentioned in this guide. Google’s Pixel Stand is one of the best wireless chargers out there because it’s simple. The stand doesn’t slide around, the phone stays in place, and it has some cool features, like the ability to turn the screen into a digital photo frame and quick access to Google Assistant. It’s made from 39 percent recycled materials, with mostly eco-friendly packaging. Best Wireless Charger The guide has more options, including originals and cheaper ones. Pixel Stand.

This charger is all you need to charge your Pixel, no matter which model you have. The latest high-end Pixel phones don’t come with a charger in the box, so if you don’t have a spare USB-C charger, you’ll want to pick one up. The plug on this charger is foldable, so it’s also great for traveling.

These cases are a bit pricey, but they have raised bezels and good protection around the edges. The buttons click, and you can choose from a few design options for the back, including walnut, leather, bamboo, silver pearl, and aramid fiber. (I like walnut.) What makes this case special is that it MagSafe support—yes, Apple’s magnetic system for accessories. I’ve used the Mous Limitless 5.0 successfully with a few MagSafe Accessorieslike the Belkin wireless charger.

This is a dual-layer case—there’s a soft silicone inside and a hard shell outside. The buttons are a little hard to press, but not too bad. There’s a slight bump over the camera module, and the edges are slightly raised around the screen. I don’t think it’s worth $50, but what might make it worth it is the sheer number of designs you can choose from.

Spigen Liquid Air Case for Google Pixel

Spigen Liquid Air Case

It’s slim, has a nice texture, keeps the buttons intact, and has precise cutouts for the ports and speakers. What’s not to like? Yes, it’s a little dull, which ruins the Pixel’s unique design, but I still think this is one of the most attractive cases in Spigen’s lineup. The edges aren’t significantly raised, so don’t expect much screen protection. Slim fit cases are even more boringbut it still gets the job done.

Want a kickstand to prop up your Pixel? This Spigen case has a built-in kickstand that can do the trick, though unfortunately it only works in landscape mode—not great for hands-free TikTok. Its thick case offers good protection around the edges, though there isn’t much protrusion, so you’ll still want to pair it with a screen protector.

I’ve been using the Pixel Fold case from OtterBox and spotbut the one i keep coming back to is the official google case. the soft silicone is much nicer than the hard plastic on the others and doesn’t add too much bulk. the case comes in two separate pieces and has a cutout on the side so you can reach the buttons and fingerprint sensor.

Casetify Phone Case on Google Pixel Fold Smartphone

Casetify impact case

Casetify is where you want to go if you want your Pixel phone to stand out even more. There are millions of designs to choose from, and the Impact case has a hard bumper, grippy edges, and responsive buttons. The bezels around the screen are also quite raised.

I’ve only tested the Grip case with the Pixel 7 Pro, but it has extremely grippy buttons and edges (hence the name). I don’t think I’ve ever had a grippier case. It feels sturdy but quite thin. You can choose a fancy design, but you’ll have to glue this “skin” to the back of the case yourself. There’s a lot of room for error here, so be careful and Watch Dbrand’s installation video for tips. The Pixel 8 series version of this case adds MagSafe Supportso you can use your Pixel with MagSafe Accessoriesbut i have not tested it yet.

The Denali case for the Pixel 8 series has graphene embedded inside, which Zagg claims improves durability. I found that graphene does a better job of dissipating heat during demanding tasks, so if you regularly push your Pixel to the limit, this might be a good case to try, even if it’s a little boring in the design department. For older Denali cases, the D30 material (best known for its use in motorcycle gear) is more impact-resistant for better drop protection. The camera bump has raised edges all around and the buttons have some squeaking, but the edge protection on the front is a little lacking.

It takes a bit of work to get this case onto your Pixel, but once you do, it’s arguably the best protection you’ll find. There’s a two-piece polycarbonate shell that snaps open and close on the top and bottom of the Pixel, then a thick neoprene coating that’s applied for extreme durability. The buttons are surprisingly clicky, even though the entire phone is thicker, wider, and heavier. The case is made from more than 50 percent recycled plastic, and there’s a holster you can tuck in to carry your Pixel proudly on your belt. (The holster doubles as a kickstand.)

This is another nice clear case for the Pixel line. I like the textured power button, which makes it easy to find when you’re not looking, and there are spots on the case to attach a strap (not included). It’s not as stain-resistant as Ringke claims, but it’s easy to clean.

These are lovely cases with a few designs to choose from. I usually only try Cyrill’s Ultracolor case (available in for multiple Pixel types), and they’re sturdy. The new designs are fun, with buttons, precise cutouts, and extra protection at the corners. Each case comes with a wrist strap so you can keep your Pixel within reach at all times.
