Welcome to the first day of paultan.org The Electric Vehicle Expo (EVx 2024) is taking place at the Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam, Selangor, and will run until the week of July 20-21. It is the place to be for everything related to electric vehicles in Malaysia, from charging providers, accessories and of course, electric vehicles.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 are no strangers to awards, having won the World Car of the Year and World Electric Car of the Year awards, with each model taking both in 2022 and 2023.
The Ioniq 5 is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of up to 72.6 kWh, allowing the car to travel up to 430 km on the WLTP test cycle, and the car’s 800-volt electrical architecture is still a rarity in Malaysia, allowing for 350 kW DC charging for a 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes and a 3.6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) facility to power external electrical devices, which you can see demonstrated through the free coffee at the Hyundai booth powered by the Ioniq 5.
Like the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 also features an 800-volt electrical architecture and is therefore capable of 350 kW DC fast charging and also offers 3.6 kW V2L electric power. Equipped with a larger 77.4 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery and a striking design with a drag coefficient of just 0.21, the Ioniq 6 achieves up to 614 km (WLTP) on a single charge.
