Da Huang’s story began in 2012 when he was just a stray dog looking for food. One fateful evening, he was caught trying to steal a bite of dinner from a kind man named Mr. Shen. Instead of chasing him away, Mr. Shen took pity on the hungry dog and decided to adopt him. This simple act of kindness marked the beginning of an extraordinary relationship between the two.
Mr. Shen, a parking attendant at an apartment complex in Liaoning Province, northeastern China, let Da Huang live in his office. He took care of Da Huang, feeding and bathing him, creating a safe and loving environment. Every morning, Da Huang eagerly greeted Mr. Shen with a wagging tail, and the two would spend the entire day together. Da Huang even became a helpful assistant, alerting Mr. Shen to unfamiliar cars with his bark.
Tragedy struck when Mr. Shen was diagnosed with a serious illness. The disease progressed rapidly, and within two weeks, Mr. Shen passed away, leaving Da Huang without his beloved owner.
