What do we have here? A social media post by a Proton showroom representative suggests that the 2024 Proton X50 will be launched on Tuesday, June 4. That’s right after this long weekend!
Before you get too excited, however, the teaser image shows a car that looks almost identical to the current model, so this could just be a minor update rather than a complete facelift. The Sneaky photos of the X50 facelift in true form that we saw recently is probably a more extensive refresh set for later, not this year.
So what can you expect from this 2024 update? No exact details have been released yet, but it’s safe to say it will get a few minor upgrades/improvements and hopefully a price tweak. The X50 is being snapped up by a number of newer models with extremely competitive prices, and it recently saw a significant price cut.
We’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out the exact changes made to Proton’s popular B-segment SUV. Better safety package, cheaper price, perhaps upgraded equipment list?
