Aerostich celebrates 40 years with very boring rally 5
Aerostich’s Very Boring Rally 5 is here, along with guest speakers, storytellers, bike nights, the Rider of the Month meetup, and more. It all kicks off on July 7th. and lasts until August.
Aero Design & Mfg. Co. Inc. started operations in 1983 with the goal of developing “a completely new type of textile-based device for motorcyclists.” That goal’s efforts resulted in the Roadcrafter suit, still available as Classic Roadcrafter. Aerostich’s popular R-3 suit is the third generation of Roadcrafter, and the R-3 can now be customized for an exact fit.

Since those early days, Balloon increased its products, which now include jackets, pants, gloves, boots and other gear in its category. Aerostich’s factory and stores are located in Duluth, Minnesota.
Thursday, July 13 is Bike Night starting at 5pm. Bike Night includes a ride across the Cotton Bridge and through Billings Park and ends at the Superior Porchfest for free outdoor live music and food carts.
On Friday, July 28, guest speaker Dr. Gregory W. Frazier will discuss “Sex and Adventure on Motorcycles – Secrets, Tips and Tricks” at 2pm
More guest speakers are expected to visit Aerostich during July and August, including Duane “Digger” Carey, Paul Pelland, Pat Hahn, Robert Higdon, Voni and Paul Glaves. The founder and owner of Aerostich will be featured as guest speakers to wrap up the two-month event on Saturday, August 26. The full schedule can be found on Very Boring Rally’s website.
Additionally, during the rally there was a Racer of the Month Meetup on August 11, during which visitors could chat with Aerostich’s Driver of the Month.

Every Friday with a guest speaker there will be a light lunch served at noon and Saturday mornings with the speakers there will be a continental breakfast. Very Boring Rally will also include door-to-door competitions and prizes, tech sessions, factory tours, a souvenir booklet, etc.
