Traffic Accident Commission taps The Clinician to mine patient-generated data



A new value-based program by the Victorian government Transport Accident Commission has begun to collect and analyze patient-reported results and experiences.

TAC, which supports people injured in traffic accidents, has just launched an Enhanced Rehabilitation Program to enhance care and improve outcomes for their clients.

Based on a press release, the program will leverage the Clinician’s ZEDOC platform to collect and analyze PROMs and PREMs. During the program, customers will be asked to fill out a questionnaire about ZEDOC four times.

WHY IT IMPORTANT

Valuable insights from patient-reported data will inform the clinical decisions of TAC physiotherapists. Specifically, it will help them understand how trauma affects existing clients and during treatment – ​​which can take up to 12 weeks; provide treatment tailored to the individual needs of the client; and identify any potential long-term problems so that steps can be taken to address them early.

The program is currently in its early stages and includes a small group of TAC clients and physiotherapists.
