The “Iron Man” actor posted two photos of his “Oppenheimer” co-stars on Instagram on July 9, but one of them featured an interloper in the form of Emily Blunt’s husband. “Link with my Oppenheimer co-stars…wait, is that a Krasinski photo bomb or maybe a surprise cameo???” Downey captioned his post.
When it comes to director Christopher Nolan’s films, it’s best to expect surprises, but it’s unlikely Krasinski will appear in the film. Instead, he will most likely support Blunt, who plays a key role in the film about J. Robert Oppenheimer, the leader of the Manhattan Project. Blunt joined Downey in the photos, along with their co-stars Matt Damon and Cillian Murphy.
Krasinski’s scene-stealing moment wasn’t the only thing that caught the attention of Downey’s Instagram followers. Many Murphy’s fans commented on the post to share that they were surprised to see the actor smiling. Over the years, Murphy has made a name for himself playing serious roles on TV (“Peaky Blinders”) and film (“Oppenheimer”, “28 Days Later”). As a result, he rarely shows a bright smile on screen.
“Cillian not only smiles, but also smiles widely. This doesn’t look right,” one person commented. Another wrote: “Never seen Cillian so happy”, while YouTuber Brittany Broski added: “I’m crying! How can you make Cillian laugh!”
