The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom broke records, with review aggregator site OpenCritic revealing the long-awaited Switch exclusive is now “the #1 highest-rated game of all time”.
According to the website’s rankings, Tears of the Kingdom are right in front Super Mario Odysseywith an average score of 97,223 out of 100 compared to Mario’s 96,811. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild came in third place with a score of 95,905.

Meanwhile, on Metacritic, Tears of the Kingdom became the review aggregator’s highest-rated game of the year – with a review score of 96 out of 100. User reviews have yet to be received. release.
Regarding Metacritic’s all-time high score, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina for the N64 it still leads with a score of 99. As for Breath of the Wild on the platform, it has an average review score of 97 out of 100 and a user rating of 8.7 out of 10.
