Staffy’s adorable sign helps break gender stereotypes
When people pass dogs in their yard, they often exclaim how adorable they are. But sadly, breeds labeled as Pit Bull, such as the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, get mixed reactions when they play outside. Many dog lovers love them, but some view them with fear or disgust because of hurtful stereotypes about the breed.
Tubs the Staffy is one of many Pit Bull breeds trying to show the world that all breeds can be loving and sweet. So Tubs humans hung a sign in the yard encouraging neighbors to pet the friendly pup, and the results were adorable!
Signs for a friendly dog
Tubs likes to hang out in the yard and watch the neighbors pass by, but many are reluctant to approach her because of her looks. Even when she put her feet on the fence and wagged her tail like crazy, people were hesitant to say hello. Tubs is such a nice girl, so she can’t understand why so many people don’t want to play with her.
The person of Tubs has given her a special mark to help her get the love she deserves. The colorful sign reads: “Tubs are very friendly. She’ll love a pat.” Her humans have put the sign on the outdoor fence so people can see it as they pass by Tubs.

After setting up the subscription, Tubs humans keep track of how the neighbors react. As expected, many people are more eager to stop and pamper Tubs when they know she’s so friendly. The results were heartwarming, so Tubs humans decided to film some interactions and post them on social media.
Tub soak up love!
In videos posted on Tubs’ social media sites, the adorable puppy can be seen standing on two legs after leaning against a fence. Whenever someone passed by, Tubs wagged his tail like crazy. Many people glanced at the sign and patted Tubs on the head affectionately.
Many neighbors have become Tubs fans, and they regularly stop to pet her on their daily walks. A boy on a bike is one of Tubs’ biggest admirers. He even came back with some of his friends to give more love to Tubs. When a group of people stopped petting her, she patiently waited for the others to arrive.
Hopefully Tubs’ videos help show the world that any breed can be friendly, so they should be given a chance. Many people who follow the puppy online joke that they want to travel to Australia just so they can pet Tubs. Seeing the happy look on Tubs’ face would be well worth the trip!
