11 young Australians competed in the Selection Event for the 2023 Idemitsu Asian Talent Cup this week for two days at the Sepang International Circuit go-kart track.
11 young Australian players have combined in a field of 61 hoping to show off their skills for a chance to hit the grid in 2023.
Riders competed in two sessions each, with the first session being 12 minutes long and the second 10 minutes.
The 41 riders were then selected to continue the selection process and make an additional eight-minute session.
For the final session, there were 24 riders left with one entry to the grid, and they made an extra 10-minute session.
At the end of the final session, the list of nine riders selected for full-time, as well as six reserve drivers for 2023, was confirmed.
At the end of the action, a roster of nine fixed riders and six reserve riders was selected.
