The route maintains the highest score in the BC Classic rankings
Hronis Racing LLC, Siena Farm LLC, Summer Wind Equine LLC, West Point Thoroughbreds, and Woodford Racing, LLC, Woodford Racing’s undefeated Flightline, LLC, were unanimously voted No. 1 for the second consecutive week in the Rankings. the latest Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic, a weekly ranking of the top 10 horses competing for the $6 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Kentucky, on May 5 11.
Flightline, winner of the Hill ‘N’ Dale Metropolitan Handicap (G1) and TVG Pacific Classic (G1), won 29 votes in first place in Week 13 of the poll, including vehicles. Top Thoroughbred racers, equestrians and members of the Breeders Cup Racing Secretariat/Director.
The top 10 rankings are unchanged from last week. Following Flightline (290 votes) was CHC Inc. and WinStar Farms LLC’s Life Is Good, in second place with 244 votes. 4-year-old Life Is Good, winner of Whitney Stakes (G1), is scheduled to start next on October 1 Woodward Stakes (G1) at the Aqueduct. Winchell Thoroughbreds’ 3-year-old Epicenter, who won the Runhappy Travers Stakes (G1) for coach Steve Asmussen, came in third with 228 votes. Olympiad, owned by Grandview Equine, Cheyenne Stable LLC and LNJ Foxwoods, took fourth place with 187 votes. Coached by Bill Mott, the Olympiad has won five of six races this year, including the Saratoga Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1).
Commonwealth Thoroughbreds, LLC, WinStar Farm LLC, and Zedan Racing Stables, Inc.’s Country Grammer, the winner of the Dubai World Cup (G1) came in fifth place with 155 votes. Hot Rod Charlie, owned by Boat Racing, LLC, Gainesway Stable, Roadrunner Racing and William Strauss, came in sixth place with 107 votes. Coached by Doug O’Neill, Hot Rod Charlie finished second at the Dubai World Cup and finished third at the Whitney.
Gold Square LLC’s 3-year-old Cyberknife comes in at seventh place with 86 votes. Trained by Brad Cox, Cyberknife placed second in the Travers Stakes. Wertheimer and 5-year-old Frere’s Happy Saver, runners-up at Whitney, were in eighth place with 77 votes.
CHC Inc. and 4-year-old WinStar Farm LLC’s Americanrevolution, second behind Olympiad in The Jockey Club Gold Cup, in ninth place with 46 votes. 3-year-old Taiba of Zedan Racing Stable, Inc., who won the Santa Anita Derby (G1), came in 10th place with 36 votes.
Both Taiba and Cyberknife are involved in this Saturday’s Pennsylvania Derby (G1) at Parx Racing.
