Coming to you from Christopher FrostThis great video review will look at Voigtlander MACRO APO-LANTHAR 65mm f/2 . aspherical lens. Voigtlander is known for its well-constructed manual focus lenses with plenty of sharpness and contrast, and the 65mm f/2 lens seems to be no exception. It comes with a bunch of great features, including:
- 1:2 macro magnification with 12.2-inch minimum focusing distance
- 10-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh
- Electronic contacts to transmit data to the camera and take advantage of in-body image stabilization
- Tone design to reduce vertical chromatic aberration
- One aspherical element to reduce spherical aberrations and increase sharpness
- Manual aperture ring
I’ve had 10mm f/5.6 for several years, and I’ve always loved the picture quality I got from it, plus its all-metal construction and thoughtful design have made it a real joy to use. Check out the video above for Frost’s full thoughts on the lens.
