Steve Bannon indicted for not complying with subpoena
Stephen Bannon, a longtime adviser to former U.S. president Donald Trump, has been criminally charged for failing to adjust to a subpoena issued by a Home of Representatives committee investigating the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol, the Justice Division stated on Friday.
Bannon has refused to adjust to subpoenas searching for paperwork and his testimony, citing Trump’s insistence – already rejected by one choose – that his communications are protected by the authorized doctrine of government privilege.
