One does not know whether to conclude that its religious hysteria would be a relatively benign explanation.

Or is it a deliberate attempt to distract the population with unresolvable measures to divert attention from very serious problems that people don’t want to talk about.

Either way, it’s completely absurd for the latter reason above all else. If you are a country that is producing 5 billion tons a year out of a global total of 37 billion, and you cannot convince the rest of the world to reduce, you are clean. There’s nothing you can do about climate change on your own.

You’ve, over the last few years, what with Afghanistan and cities on fire, and elections, have lost all the strength you once had. No one is listening. If they are looking for an example to follow, they are looking to China, whose approach is to talk politely about climate change and grow the economy as quickly as possible in human terms.

The most realistic expectation in the next 5-10 years is that global emissions increase to 40 billion tons a year in the north. If the US pulls out all the stops, it will probably mine 2-3 billion tons per year. So we don’t have 45 billion tons, we have 42 pr 43.

In theory driving these claims, what is needed is not 42 as opposed to 45, but more like a drop to 10 billion tonnes between 2035-40.

People need to realize reality. And they need to understand that in real terms, the US is no longer an economy big enough to make as much of a difference to global emissions by whatever it does.

I don’t believe any US government can actually cut emissions in half. Only for four years. By the time it starts enough for people to have experienced the real economic effects and see how little it affects the climate or other country’s plans, there will be an election and the party responsible for it. responsibility will raise a toast. It will be wiped out at the Presidential election and at all Congress and Senate elections.

Democrats and liberals should hope and pray this is not rhetoric. Because if it’s real and serious and tries to do it, they’re going to suffer.
