The word “staple” means different things to different people. Depending on your aesthetic, your wardrobe staples might include brightly printed dresses, embellished bags, and heels. For others, staples come in the form of simple t-shirts, leather jackets, and sneakers. There’s no right or wrong—that’s the beauty of fashion! However, if you ask me what my main style is, I will always say jacket and loafers.
I try not to double items, but suffice it to say that coats and loafers are my weak points. I have a handful of coats in a variety of colors and materials — leather, wool, and cotton in black, beige, and gray — and when I think about it, I probably have a loafer for every person. pcs. Chunky, open back, embellished with horsehair—they’re my go-to shoes and I love having a few to change into with different outfits. Both products do pretty well year-round, but I think they’ll come into their own in the spring as we start phasing out our life jackets and UGG in favor of something lighter. a little bit.
